FOREST
When I´m designing a new collection I use to spend many hours locked in my room thinking, drawing, doing some photoshop on my patterns or making technical information sheets. It is a nice time in the creation process but many times I feel like getting away and scape from timmings and tight schedules. This is why is kind of therapeutic having sometime off to visit our countryhouse and have a stroll in the woods. This is precisely what we did yesterday at dusk. I loved to feel the chill of the forest, the clean smell of nature, the sounds of the falling leafs and see the sunset and later the moon and the stars in the sky.
Below you´ll see some pics of this autumn day and you´ll also see me wrapped in some blankets from our collection that I took to be warm and to show you how nice they are. ;)

Many things are happening this days, everything goes so fast, the pace of life is kind of frenzy. This is why I like to stop for a minute and have a break from the hussle and bustle of everyday life, this is why a like to sum up my days on Instagram, this way I take some time to carefully observe how the time goes so slowly through my pictures, how life keeps on little by little leaving a nice taste in my mouth..
We have already started with our six months workshop. Everyday we have a break and have a nice cup of tea...
Valentina learns new things and is starting to develop her creativity. She puts a lot of imagination on paintings and buildings. She said that the building in the picture was a house with a moustache... so lovely ♥
At home we are painting leafs and making compositions with them... we like to experiment with nature on our spare time...
Our neighbour gave us some delightful pommegranates, my favourite fruit...
I´m designing the new collection and this time the inspirational theme is intimisim, is about cooconing. I like this momento in the creation process when you do not what is going to come up...what will be the outcome?... I do not know...And I like this state of insecurity...
Our country house is, little by little, looking better now all painted in white and almost finished in the inside. We just need to treat the ceramic floor with some special product to protect it and put the doors in its place and it will be almost done.. You can follow this process of rebuilding this house here.

As you know our followers on social networks get a 25% discount at the SHOP (you just need to use the SISTERHOOD code). But we´d also like to offer you the opportunity to get one of our favourites garment at an unbeatable price. For this reason every week we´ll make a WEEK OFFER to let you get a nice garment at a 50% discount..
This week we´ve decided to offer the HEART jumper, either in black or in pearl grey. This jumper is one of our bestsellers and it is made out of soft extrathin merino wool. It is such a special jumper for me because, as many of my designs, I got the inspiration to design it out of something odd, something that rarely occurs.I´ll put is this way: sometimes you meet someone who touches your heart, and it does it with his hand open. You can feel this with a person when he says something or trows a glance at you. In brief, this is a jumper with a love story.

SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL
To be small or not to be, that is my motto. In order to stay small you need to slow down a bit, you need to have the courage to say no to many projects that come by, you need to be able to leave things aside, you need to ignore whatever implies certain growth and a bigger work volume. And to do this you need to be pretty sure of what you are doing. Many years ago, at our beginnings as a brand, we were about to play to this crazy bussines game in which one need to fierce compete with big fashion multinationals, this game of trying to climb the ladder of success no matter what, this game with dirty rules in which you have to do things you do not belive in and meet people you would rather not. Growth carries many mad sacrificies and it can make people sick. I felt all this in my own skin and this is why I decided to stop and get away of the fast pace of a non stop and crazy race. So I created my own cocoon, a confy and hidden place in which I could feel secure and dedicate my time to do the things I really like; a place to design beautiful things using the best materials without the need to follow what the market rules; a place to make things out of pure passion and not out of a calculator; a place to raise a family, a place to good sleep 8 hours a day, a place to have an ordinary life, a place to be happy...
Now, many times, specially in autumn, I design in my bed. I feel the warmth of my duvet where I find shelter. Is under this conditions how I find inspiration and how ideas come to me so I can shape them into nice garments.
Now we also think that sharing has to be the way to relate with everybody else. Sharing is the way to go and not wild competition. We want sharing to be the starting point of many interesting and fun things to come. We want to share our knowledge with everybodyelse, we want to make collaborations with other people with different ideas and interests, people we admire, people with whom to create new ways to do business.
For the moment I feel well the way I am, I do not want to change even though this means not growing as a brand, not competing as we, as a company, were supposed to do. As I already told you, now we rather like cooperation and slowing down.

I feel pretty happy after having written an article on Pattern Design for Kireei mag. In the article I also interviewed some of the best nowadays spanish pattern designers. As many of you already know, patterns and grafic design make up our brand identity and this is why I felt really good when Cristina Camarena (Kireei´s director) thought of me to write on this issue. I love making patterns and I love studying decorative arts history, besides that I´m the director of the Pattern Design Masters at the IED and we also share our knowledge at our pattern design workshops al ElEstudio. Some of the designers that I interviewed studied with us, people such as Lady Desidia, Moniquilla or Rita Jardón.
You can get Kirei here in case you do not have it yet... it is such a brilliant mag, full of nice pics, owesome designs and delicate texts. Such a delightful piece of paper..
