Esta semana he impartido en El Estudio un curso intensivo de Estampación Manual, aunque ha sido una semana dura con Valentina más llorona que de costumbre y pocas horas de sueño..he de decir que he disfrutado muchísimo este curso y estoy muy contenta con los resultados! se pueden hacer cosas tan chulas en casa con muy poquitos medios y usando la imaginación...

This week I ´ve been so busy at El Estudio giving lessons on an intensive Hand Printing workshop. It´s been also hard handling Valentina criying more than she normally does and this means few hours of sleep. But it´s been worthy, I am happy with the results and I´ve enjoyed the experience. It´s nice to know that one can do many nice things at home with almost no materials and lots of bits of imagination!!!

CRAFT

El Miercoles que viene por fín desvelaremos el proyecto en el que llevamos trabando estos últimos meses...somos un poco lentos, pero está quedando precioso! Mientras tanto os dejo con pistas como nuestro logotipo bordado a mano por Lanusa.
Por otro lado esta semana estamos realizando un curso de Estampación Manual en El Estudio y los resultados son geniales, mañana os enseño fotos *_*

things i like (34) Dominique Donois

Hace ya 10 años que conocí a Dominique en Paris, ella exponía sus esculturas de Papel Maché en la feria Workshop donde nosotros participábamos, enseguida conectamos genial porque tenemos un universo muy afín y además ella es un amor... Espero que os guste tanto como a mí las cosas que hace Dominique, son ilustraciones en 3D hechas en papel maché y en directo son casi más bonitas!!!!

P.D: Por cierto, para las que me habéis preguntado, los sellos de letras y la tinta para tejido del post anterior las he comprado aquí.

We met Dominique 10 years ago in Paris. She was showing her panoplies at Workshop trade show and we were showing one of our first collections there too. We became friends fast because she is so adorable and  we share a similar esthetic universe ..Let me introduce you  to her beautiful work in Papier Maché , it is a sort of 3D drawings...I think it is so beautiful and cute!! I hope you like it as much as I do.

TARDE HANDMADE

Llevo unas semanas sin poderme sentar a pintar y ayer por fín saqué un ratito para probar sellos nuevos y pintura para tela llegada de japón ...pasé un estupendo "handmade afternoon"...algunas de las cosas que hice no os las podré enseñar hasta dentro de unos días cuando os cuente el proyecto sorpresa que estamos preparando...cada vez queda menos para desvelar de que se trata!!!!

I´ve spent a few weeks so busy that I haven´t had the chance to sit down and paint. But  finally yesterday I had few hours free to try the new stamps and fabric ink that I just got from Japan. I had such a nice handmade afternoon... some of the things that I did I can´t show to you now because they belong to the secret surprise project that we are working on!!!

SHOPS

Siempre me olvido de hablaros de las tiendas que tienen ropa de "la casita de wendy",  vendemos en tiendas multimarca con una estética cuidada y estamos felices de que les guste nuestra ropa y apuesten por nuestros diseños!! Se agradece tanto...
Cuando estamos diseñando una nueva colección es muy dificil acertar, a veces tenemos dudas y bloqueos creativos (en plan esto gustará? esto me está quedando bien?) y luego esos miedos desaparecen cuando comprobamos que nuestros clientes siguen fieles y sonrien al mostrarles la ropa!!

I always forget to tell you about the shops we sell in. We sell in boutiques with a precious aesthetic and we are happy to know that people like our designs and we are grateful to them.
When we are designing a new collection it is difficult to know beforehand if we are in the good path. Sometimes we doubt and sometimes we have creative crisis but all these feelings go away when we see the smile in the face of our clients when we show them our designs!!

Estoy contentísima porque hoy ha llegado a casa esta preciosidad de muñeca de Miszko Maszko que me tocó el otro día en el sorteo de FINE LITTLE DAY (increible, pero cierto, los sorteos tocan a alguién de verdad...) y tengo que decir que: en directo es muy mucho más bonita que en foto,  está llena de detalles, es reversible y son dos muñequitas en una y lleva el nombre de su verdadera dueña bordado...es el mejor regalo del mundo y todavía no me creo que nos haya tocado!!

I´m so happy!!! I just got this beautiful doll by Miszko Maszko that I won in a giveaway at FINE LITTLE DAY ( truly amazing, but some people win at giveaways). The doll looks better in my hands, is full of details and it is also a reversible doll  which means that it is a doll that is two dolls. The name of the new owner is embroidered in the tag... It´s the best  present in the world, I still do not belive that I have it!!

♥ SORPRESA♥

Estamos preparando una sorpresa para medidados de Mayo, estad atentos porque es un proyecto en el que llevamos trabajando mucho tiempo y estamos muy ilusionados!! Vais a alucinar!!!! y hasta aquí puedo leer...

We´ve been working  for a while on a nice surprise project to come up someday in May. By now is kind of secret  so stay tuned to find out more about this new exciting adventure....

♥NEW STUFF IN THE SHOP♥

Con este tiempo primaveral aparecen en nuestra agenda las bodas, cenas de gala y otros eventos de etiqueta, asi que hemos decidido actualizar la tienda con algunos diseños pensados para estas ocasiones. esperamos que os gusten!!!

It is spring and we all have more weddings, parties, dinners etc...we´ve updated the shop with some dresses for this ocassions, we hope you like them!

ONE DAY

Pues el martes me levanté muy tarde gracias a que Miguel no trabajaba y se bajó al salón con la niña. Me quedé tan agusto yo sola en la cama descansando después de haber pasado una noche dificil...a Valentina le están saliendo los dientes y se despierta tres veces cada noche!! pobrecilla ella y pobrecilla yo, que no pego ojo...a ver si se le pasa!!

Miguel had a day off on tuesday and that meant that he took the baby early in the morning to the living-room so I could stay in bed longer. Me, alone in the bed, resting after a tricky night... Valentina´s teeth are coming out and she wakes up few times every night. Poor baby... and poor me after so many sleepless nights.

Después de revisar el correo y desayunar nos pusimos a arreglar el jardín, podar, repicar los tomates, calabacines y recoger algo de hierba buena y romero. Luego aproveché para ordenar la casa y limpiar un poco...
After checking my e-mails up and after having a nice breakfast we started to do some gardening. We have small tomato and gourgette plants to take care before we move then to the vegtable garden. And we cut some rosmary and mint to cook something for lunch. Later I did some house cleaning and I got many things organized.

 Nos fuimos a dar un paseo con la niña y a disfrutar de los arboles en flor...hace ya tres años que vivo lejos del centro de la ciudad y no puedo estar más contenta...a veces echo de menos la gente y las tiendas del centro, pero por otro lado siento que aquí llevo una vida más calmada y tranquila. Además puedo salir de casa desarreglada sin encontrarme con nadie, jejej...cuando vivia en el centro siempre me encontraba con alguién incluso cuando bajaba a por el pan! era un no parar de saludar;)

We went for a stroll with the baby and we enjoyed the blossomed trees. It´s been 3 years since I live out of the city and I am so happy about it. Sometimes I miss people and some shops but I feel that I am having such a tranquil life here and I can walk around without meeting anyone. When I lived in the city centre I used to meet people even when going to the bakery...saying hello to everyone took me ages :)

Después de comer una lubina al horno con zanahorias estuve haciendo fotos a los cuadros que está pintando Miguel, hace tiempo que está preparando una serie preciosa y espero que se materialice en una expo pronto...
After having a nice fish and carrots for lunch I was taking pictures to some paintings Miguel is working to organize, I hope, a nice exhibition.

A primera hora de la tarde fuí a Lanas Sixto, mi tienda de lanas favorita. También aproveché para comprar "guata" en Bober (otra tienda de toda la vida de tejidos) para rellenar unos cojines que compré a Valentina hace tiempo de la casa de coto, son como mini pufs para cuando comience a gatear y trepar.

Around 17.00 I went to Lanas Sixto, my favorite wool-shop. I also stoped at Bober (an old fabrics shop) to buy  some cushion stuffing for the cushions I bought sometime ago at la casa de coto for Valentina´s bedroom.

Aproveché para recoger los juguetes y meterlos en la maleta contenedor que hemos puesto a la espera de tener tiempo para hacer una bonita estanteria. Por cierto mirad que oso panda más precioso le ha hecho a mano la abuela de Marta R. Gustems a la niña, no es increible? mil gracias de nuevo a la iaia Rafela!!!

I also had time to tidy the toys up and stick them in and old suitcase we´ll use until we manage to get some time to make a beautiful shelf, by the way look at this amazing panda bear that Marta R. Gustems´s grandma has done to our daugther, thank you so much iaia Rafela!!

Por la noche, después del baño y un biberón, acostamos a la peque y aprovechamos que estamos de vacaciones para ver una película, eso si, tardamos tres días en acabarla porque nos dormimos todo el tiempo... estamos muy cansados de las últimas semanas de mucho trabajo y poco dormir...y... eso es todo! buenas noches ♥
At night, after baby bath and bibs, we put the baby to sleep and we watched a film, a film we had been watching for 3 days...we are so tired  after all these hard working weeks that we easy fall asleep... and that´s all...good night ♥

P.D: A los que nos habéis preguntado por la cuna, es de aquí Bednest y es genial porque la puedes tener unida a la cama y es como dormir todos juntos!! Eso si, dura hasta los 6 o 7 meses..

Aunque por el título del post pueda parecerlo, no es que vayamos a hacer ropa de niños (por ahora), si no que ultimamente no paro de descubrir gente que está haciendo unas ropa preciosa para peques y he decidido compartirla...que os parecen?  No puedo parar de buscar cosas bonitas de niños, juguetes, ropa, muebles... es toda una inspiración O_O

The title of the post might make you think that we are into designing fashion for kids but we are not (by now). The thing is that  lately I am discovering so many people making nice stuff  for kids and I want to share with you some inspiring clothes that I found. O_O

Cada día más divertido que el anterior... Valetina se gira en el suelo sola, empieza a jugar ratos largos con sus juguetes, habla palabras inexistentes, se rie a carcajadas...eso si, con ella alrededor es muy dificil diseñar!!!
Mañana nos ponemos con el huerto, ya os contaré que tal!

Por cierto podéis leer cosas sobre nuestro proyecto con ALFA en Neo2, Yo Dona, H, Pinchín...

Everyday means more fun with her... Valentina is starting to play longer alone with her toys, she talks and talks imposible words, se giggles...but in the other hand, it is imposible to design a collection with her around!!!

COMO EN CASA...EN NINGÚN SITIO

Pues después de dar muchas vueltas sobre que hacer esta Semana Santa hemos decidido quedarnos en casita...dedicarnos a dormir,cocinar, descansar, arreglar el jardín, plantar el huerto y diseñar tranquilamente... Además ese es el tema justamente de la colección para el Verano 2012, "there´s no place like home", por muchas aventuras que vivamos, por mucho que nos guste ver cosas nuevas...no hay nada como el hogar... y vosotros que vais a hacer?

We´ve been thinking about where to go in easter holidays and  after many different ideas we decided to stay home...we will rest, cook, sleep, plant the vegetables garden and design a little bit... This is also the main theme of our new collection for Spring-Summer 2012 "there´s no place like home"...we love being home... and you, what are you going to do in easter holidays?
