BUSCANDO

Hoy buscando en el almacen (ese lugar en el que no cabe ya un alfiler y que tenemos petado de ropa) he encontrado tres prendas de la colección del invierno pasado "Arts & Crafts" que son de mis favoritas. Las he subido al OUTLET de la tienda online porque son auténticas joyas y son las últimas cosas de esta cole...espero que os gusten, las he puesto a buen precio y solo hay un par de cada una...
Se han vendido, solo queda 1 chaqueta de ardillas, gracias!  SE HA VENDIDO TODO, GRACIAS!!!


Today looking at the store (that place where we have hundreds of garments) I found three items of the last winter´s collection "Arts & Crafts" which are my favorites.  I have uploaded to the OUTLET section in our online shop because they are real gems  ... I hope you like them, sorry but there is only one pair of each ...

TE RECOMIENDO

Voy a comenzar una nueva sección que se llamará TE RECOMIENDO donde os presentaré y mostraré el trabajo de diseñador@s que me gustan...en principio Español@s para que no sea lo mismo que leemos en todos los blogs de fuera. Y hoy TE RECOMIENDO a... Cristina, su marca de complementos p[pi:] es alucinante. Conocí su trabajo gracias a Marta R. Gustems (que vende sus bolsos en su tienda SUITE) y me encantó, el juego de colores, la geometría, los materiales...soy muy fan! Espero que os guste como a mí!

Today I´m going to start a new section TE RECOMIENDO (I recommend you)  where I will show you some Spanish designers that I like .... And today TE RECOMIENDO a. .. Cristina, his brand of accesories p[pi:] is amazing. I knew his work by Marta R. Gustems (she have this brand in her shop SUITE) and I loved her use of colors, geometry, materials ... I'm a big fan! Hope you like it like too!

-Un mantel que empecé con 13 años (bueno, realmente hice un par de servilletas con una amiga) y acaba de terminarlo entero mi tía como sorpresa por mi cumple, ha sido un detalle precioso... gracias tía!!!
-Un vestido superbonito de "vine cap aci, pixavi" (unas alumnas de el Curso de Creación de Empresas de Moda de El Estudio) que acaban de empezar su marca de ropa para niños y hacen cosas muy chulas.

Hoy quiero mostraros dos tiendas nuevas que venden "la casita de wendy", las dos son preciosas y acaban de abrir sus puertas,  si queréis conocer nuestros puntos de venta por todo el mundo solo tenéis que pinchar aquí.
Muxugorri es el proyecto de Irene, una ex-alumna de El Estudio que además de ser muy emprendedora y creativa, es la mamá de dos preciosos niños. Ella tiene su propia marca para peques y en su tienda de Donosti podéis encontrar sus creaciones junto a otras cositas como nuestra última colección.

Muxugorri project is Irene´s, a student of El Estudio and also a very enterprising and creative woman. She has her own brand for kids and in her Donosti store you can find her creations along with other goodies as our latest collection.

Perez 78 es un espacio precioso en Toledo, además es una tienda con un concepto muy particular que me encanta. Sus creadores Hector y Natalia apuestan por diseñadores nacionales, que hacen las cosas localmente y con cierta conciencia ecológica y social, además no solo venden ropa, también se pueden encontrar cosas para regalar, accesorios etc..El espacio es alucinante, lleno de muebles antiguos, suelos hidráulicos...y en pleno casco histórico de Toledo!!

Perez 78 is a precious space in Toledo, is also a shop with a very particular concept that I love. Its creators Natalia and Hector wanted to have only national designers, who do things locally and with some ecological and social conscience. In their shop you can also find gifts, accessories etc. .. The space is amazing, full of antique furniture, beautiful old floors ...and in the historical center of Toledo!

Nos hizo mucha ilusión cuando Lourdes de Russian Red nos contó que se había puesto nuestro vestido Bombón (siempre lo hemos llamado así, es un clásico de nuestras colecciones) para su actuación en el mitico programa musical frances My Taratata. Nos va a mandar más fotitos, pero mientras os dejamos con los videos y la entrevista! Le queda genial el vestido, encima canta precioso y compone, que tia más completa oye ♥... podéis verlo aquí

We were really happy when Lourdes from Russian Red told us she was dressing our Bombón dress (a classic in our collections) for her performance at My Taratata, the famous french tv show. She is going to send us some pictures but in the meanwhile we want to share the videos and the interview here. The dress suits her really well and she sings beautifuly, she is so talented... ♥

Y más cositas...este Jueves se inaugura la exposición de nuestras alumnas del Master de Diseño Textil y Superficies en el Museo de Artes Decorativas de Madrid, es a las 19:00H y estáis todos invitados, va a estar genial!! La expo es sobre los trabajos que hicieron inspirados en piezas de este Museo y que nosotros tutoramos. Os dejo la invitación:

SHOWROOM PARIS

Entre nuestras múltiples actividades de estas fechas... diseñar la nueva colección para Otoño-Invierno 12-13, preparar los talleres de The Crafter Days, organizar el calendario del Master de Diseño Textil y de Superficies que dirigimos en el IED (no os perdáis los videos sobre el Master en el link, que salimos muy monos), redecorar El Estudio para el nuevo Workshop Semestral y otras dos sorpresas que no podemos contar... además estamos vendiendo nuestra colección Primavera-Verano 2012 a las tiendas. Una de las paradas obligatorias para visitar clientes es Paris durante la Fashion Week, allí están Iván y Elena recibiendo a algunas de nuestras tiendas internacionales, esta vez en un Showroom precioso con vistas estupendas...que envidia me dan, encima les hace buen tiempo!!

We are pretty busy these days. We are designing next FW 2012/13 collection, organizing The Crafter Days workshops;  we are making the schedule for the Textile and Sufaces Design Master we direct at IED (don´t miss the videos on the master here); we are re-decorating El Estudio for our new six-months Workshop; we are selling SS 2012 collection to boutiques and one of the most important places to do so is Paris. Ivan and elena are now there selling the collection to our international customers, this time in a beautiful Showroom with very nice views... I´d like to be in Paris too!!!

COLORES

Esta mañana mientras ordenaba un poco El Estudio me he dado cuenta de que estamos rodeados de colores...que felicidad dan...son como caramelos *_*
En la última foto los hilos de algodón "natura" que nos han enviado de DMC para que utilicemos en nuestros Workshops de Ganchillo (para bebés y para el hogar), son preciosos y super suaves.

This morning while I was cleaning El Estudio I realize that we are surrounded by colors...they make me happy...they are just like sweets *_*
In the las picture the "natura" cotton by DMC, the have sent us lots of colors for our Crochet Workshops, these are amazing and extra soft.

Lo reconozco, soy muuuuuy cursi...y aprovecho cualquier ocasión para poner un corazón. Por ejemplo el jaquard de esta chaqueta tiene mini-corazones escondidos ♥

Acabamos de volver de pasar el fin de semana en A Coruña impartiendo un taller y aconsejando a nuevos diseñadores, es muy dificil empezar una empresa de moda en estos tiempos que corren, pero más dificil es si nunca nadie te ha explicado un poco como funciona este mundo. Ser creativo es genial, pero a veces lo dificil es saber como convertir esa creatividad en un negocio, como vender, cuales son los canales de distribución y como llegar a ellos, cuales son los tiempos, calendarios, proveedores...en definitiva como ser un pequeño emprendedor y poder vivir de ello. Me encanta poder ser util e impartir estos talleres aunque ahora mismo esté agotada!

We´ve already come back from a nice weekend A Coruña where I´ve organizing a workshop on fashion entrepreneurship, sharing knowledge and giving tips to emergent designers. It is tricky to start a fashion company on a crisis time, but it is even more complicated without some basic notions on the fashion industry. To be creative is nice and cool but sometimes the difficult part is to make a bussines out of that creativity. You need to know how to sell your product, the propper channels, the production timing and fashion schedules and so on...In short, you need to know how to be a designer and get enough for a living.. I love to share my experiences and be helpful to other young designers although it is sometimes exhausting!

LA VUELTA

La vuelta de las vacaciones siempre suele ser un agobio, surgen mil cosas que hacer y al diseño de la colección se le suman muchas más tareas...Una de ellas que teníamos pendiente era la redecoración de "El Estudio", en realidad no queríamos cambiar mucho el espacio si no ordenarlo, tirar cosas, colocar las cintas y las lanas, colgar los estampados en las paredes etc... El fin de semana pasado aprovechando que el teléfono nos daba un tregua y las reuniones también nos dedicamos a pintar sillas y colgar cosas bonitas en las paredes...También compramos materiales nuevos (por fín) y unas lamparitas con formas de animales...Esto es un adelanto porque todavía nos quedan muchas cosas por hacer... Los que vayais a venir a nuestros talleres y cursos lo podréis ver en directo, al resto os lo mostraremos poco a poco aquí.

PLAYING

Hemos pasado el fin de semana decorando El Estudio (ya os enseñaré como está quedando), haciendo nuevos estampados y jugando con Valentina... uno de sus juegos favoritos es PLAYSHAPES del que os he hablado anteriormente aquí...a ella le gusta romper lo que hacemos Miguel y yo, también le entusiasma el sonido de la madera con el suelo y los muebles, morder las piezas... y a nosotros nos gusta crear cosas divertidas...la verdad es que tiene unas posibilidades increibles y ayer me dio por hacer un estampado de flores con él...que tal quedaría sobre tejido? No puedo parar de trabajar...incluso cuando estoy jugando!
También hicimos un bonito pueblo...
Bueno, ya sé lo que estáis esperando...quien ha ganado el vestido? Pues hemos hecho el sorteo con RANDOM.org y el ganador ha sido el nº 32 que corresponde a......MOW!!!!!

We´ve spent the weekend decorating the Studio (soon we´ll show you the results), designing patterns and playing PLAYSHAPES, Valentina´s favourite game (we´ve talked about this before here). Valentina likes to demolish whatever shape we create and the sound of the pieces falling on the floor, she also bites the pieces like a mouse. We like making funny shapes...this game is full of posibilities and yesterday I created nice  flower-pattern...I wonder how it would look like on fabric (I can not stop working even when I am playing a game). We also made a beautiful town....

Wuthering Heights

Ya os enseñamos hace un tiempo algunas prendas de la colección de este Otoño-Invierno "Cumbres Borrascosas" que está inspirada en las Hermanas Bronte, pero solo habéis visto algunas prendas, las más emblemáticas...asi que prepararos para ver muchas más cosas (abrigos, faldas, jerseys, chaquetas etc...) y sobre todo para poder comprarlas a partir de este Jueves (por la tarde) en nuestra Tienda Online...estoy currando mucho para que esté todo listo para el Jueves!!

BYE SUMMER...

Adios a las vacaciones...todavía quedan días de sol, pero ya los pasaré en la ciudad...lejos de estos preciosos acantilados, de las flores, del olor a humedad y campo, la hamaca, el jardín...cuanto lo voy a echar de menos...y pensar en la de millones de cosas que tengo que hacer no ayuda mucho :(

Goodbye holidays, goodbye...Back in the city the weather is still sunny but I can not stop thinking in the beautiful riffs, the flowers, the humid smell of the countryside, the garden, everything that I left in Asturias. I´m going to miss it....
